TweetDelete alternative: an honest DeleteX comparison

Choose DeleteX when separate cleanup targets, sample previews, credit packs, activity logs, and a free local archive viewer fit your workflow. Choose TweetDelete when its lower subscription entry price, longer operating history, or established automatic tasks fit better.

Neither option removes the central risk: deleted posts cannot be restored to X. Start narrow, review the connected account and scope, then confirm deliberately.

Look for preview samples: a matched count and representative posts before you confirm. Bulk deletion on X is permanent, so a count alone is not enough to judge a filter.

Look for separate cleanup targets. Posts, replies, reposts, likes, and DMs are different actions; mixed runs make it harder to review what will be removed.

DeleteX Plus costs $4.99/month or $49.99/year. The monthly plan includes 200 deletion credits; the annual plan grants 2,400 credits after successful payment. One-time packs start at $9.99 for 300 credits, valid for 12 months. Failed deletions are not charged.

First-time subscribers can start a 3-day trial with 25 total deletions. Each trial preview scans at most 25 items, including items excluded by filters, so its matches are not a full-account total. A payment method is required. The selected monthly or annual plan bills automatically after the trial; cancel in Settings before it ends to avoid the charge. Paid credits arrive after successful payment.

TweetDelete's official FAQ says its lowest subscription starts at $3.99 per month. Its paid tiers differ by monthly limits, archive features, exclusions, automatic tasks, and support.

If you do not want another subscription, compare a DeleteX one-time pack at $9.99 with TweetDelete at $3.99 per month. The pack is a single payment for a cleanup job; the $3.99 plan is an ongoing subscription.

For a job within 300 deletions, a $9.99 DeleteX pack avoids a recurring bill. TweetDelete may cost less if its selected tier completes the same job within one billing period. Compare actual allowances and the expected number of billing periods; a one-time pack is not automatically cheaper.

DeleteX uses separate targets and a preview-confirm-run sequence with matched counts, samples, progress, and activity records.

TweetDelete documents task settings, status counts, archive viewing and CSV export, exclusions, and deletion warnings. Its public FAQ does not document the same sample-preview sequence, so inspect the live screens before choosing.

Both products use an X data archive to reach history outside recent timeline results. DeleteX also provides a local browser archive viewer for search, filters, counting, and ID export without uploading the file.

TweetDelete says paid users can upload an archive, view or export its tweets, and use higher tiers for broader archive deletion.

DeleteX Plus supports recurring rules for posts, replies, reposts, and likes. TweetDelete says automatic tweet tasks run every few days and its higher plan adds automatic likes tasks.

Both connect through X rather than collecting an X password. X provides controls to revoke third-party access; DeleteX also exposes in-product account deletion for its stored data.
