Know what DeleteX accesses before you clean your account.
Bulk deletion is permanent, so the product should be transparent about permissions, stored data, previews, and removal controls. This page explains the DeleteX data lifecycle in plain language.
X OAuth instead of your password
DeleteX connects through X OAuth. You authorize the scopes required for the cleanup features you choose, and DeleteX never asks for or stores your X password.
Encrypted access tokens
OAuth access and refresh tokens are encrypted before storage. They are decrypted only inside backend functions that need to preview or execute an action you requested.
Limited cleanup data
DeleteX stores the target, filters, item IDs, counts, status, timestamps, and short preview samples needed to run and audit a cleanup. Preview text is temporary and is removed after a run completes.
Revocation and account deletion
You can revoke DeleteX from X account settings. You can also delete your DeleteX account, encrypted tokens, schedules, activity logs, and uploaded archive records from DeleteX settings.
Data lifecycle
From OAuth connection to cleanup completion
1. Connect
X OAuth identifies the account and grants the permissions needed for the product. DeleteX receives account details such as the X user ID, handle, display name, avatar, and account counts.
2. Scope and preview
You choose a cleanup target and filters. Premium preview requests matching items from X, then shows counts and short samples so you can verify the scope before deletion.
3. Confirm and run
Nothing is deleted until you explicitly confirm. Confirmed actions use X APIs, follow endpoint pacing, and record status, deleted counts, failed counts, and timestamps in your activity log.
4. Finish or remove access
Temporary preview text is removed after the run. You can revoke OAuth access at X or delete your DeleteX account data when you no longer want to use the service.
